Thursday 22nd March 2007 saw Coleraine Borough Chamber of Commerce and Industry in association with Irwin Donaghey Stockman Chartered Accountants hold the biggest Ladies Only evening in the Borough for their female clients and members. This unique event facilitated by Cllr. Liz Johnston was held in the Best Western Magherabuoy House Hotel, Portrush and kicked off with a Trade Show on hair, health and beauty highlighting Chamber Members - Romaya Hair Sanctuary, Perfections Day Spa and Nail Bar, Nirvana Beauty and Day Spa, Springwell Health Farm and Slim Within showcasing the only Power Plate machine in Northern Ireland. Throughout the evening the audience was treated to a full programme including a Colour Me Beautiful demonstration by Maureen Moriarty during which some ladies personally experienced a brief colour and image consultation. The night then moved up a gear with supper and a very enjoyable hot and spicy salsa show with Connie and David from Salsalicious (the only male in sight).

The finale of the evening was a fashion show with clothes kindly provided by local boutiques - Couples and Mary and Marthas and modelled by our local business women. All the latest trends and fashion were modelled covering all aspects of a womans need for the incoming season. The highlight of the night was the Chamber President, Julienne Elliott revealing her complete make over. Julienne was dressed by Terese and Siobhan of Couples, Andrea and Zoe from Romaya Hair Sanctuary cut and styled Juliennes hair and the make up was applied by the Estee Lauder girls Rachel and Geraldine from Moores of Coleraine. In all this was a fantastic evening and enjoyed by all. With the generous gifts donated by local businesses Exquisite Gifts, Alexanders Furniture, Marks and Spencers, Moores of Coleraine, Stems, McAtamneys, River Bann Cruises Ltd, Fitness First, Romaya, Nirvana Day Spa, Springwell Health Farm, Perfections Day Spa and Nail Bar and the support of the audience the evening raised £1300 for Cancer Research Northern Ireland.
